Plain White Rice (Nasi Putih)

Ingredients:

400 g (2 cups) Long-grain race

625 ml (2 ½ cups) Water

Method:

  1. Wash rice twice under cold tap water. Drain
  2. Transfer rice to a saucepan and add water. Bring to the boil and simmer uncovered until all liquid has been absorbed
  3. Cover saucepan, lower heat and cook for 15 minutes more
